I looked to Burt's phone and saw both arms cut up. When he put them together, they read "dead forgotten". I felt the tears fall off my chin as I asked, "Where is he?" "In the counselor's office. Don't try opening it, it's locked. You really hurt him Blaine. Now you're going to pay!" Burt then punched me to the floor and kicked my leg. I grunted in pain as I stood up. I slowly wobbled to the door and said, "Kurt." "Leave me alone! I hate you!!!" Kurt yelled as I heard a bang on the door. "Kurt I-" "I think you've said enough Blaine.... Go back to class," Burt said in a quiet, calm voice. "But Mr. Hummel-" "GET TO YOUR DAMN CLASS!" I picked up my bag and walked out of the room. I felt terrible for what I did and wanted to change it.
I'm just trying to be a father,
Raise a daughter and a son,
Be a lover to their mother,
Everything to everyone.
Up and at 'em bright and early,
I'm all business in my suit,
Yeah, I'm dressed up for success from my head down to my boots,
I don't do it for the money, there's bills that I can't pay,
I don't do it for the glory, I just do it anyway,
Providing for our futures, my responsibility,
Yeah I'm real good under pressure, being all that I can be,
"Dad, what did you do?" I asked barging out of the classroom. By the look on my father's face, I must of looked terrible. There was blood all over my shirt and arms. Tears were still falling on my face. "Kurt, I-" "Dad, I know I look horrible especially my hands. Answer my question: What did you just do?" I interrupted giving the most serious look I ever made. "I told him to get to class and leave you alone," He explained while giving me a hug. I pushed him back and ran out of the office.
And I can't call in sick on Mondays when the weekend's been too strong,
I just work straight through the holidays,
And sometimes all night long.
You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door,
Hey, I'm solid, hey I'm steady, hey I'm true down to the core,
And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price,
I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice,
Oh, and I don't want to die for you,
But if dying's asked of me,
I'll bear that cross with an honor,
'Cause freedom don't come free.
I ran as fast as my legs could take me and stopped when I busted the Glee door opened. There I saw Blaine singing American Soldier for the Glee Club. He saw me and smiled.
I'm an American Soldier, an American,
Beside my Brothers and my Sisters I will proudly take a stand.
When liberty's in jeopardy I'll always do what's right.
I'm out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight.
I'm an American Soldier.
I ran to him and kissed him passionately while hugging him. Our kiss lasted for a while, but when we stopped, Blaine said, "I'm sorry for forgetting about your mother. Never will I do that again. I love you Kurt." I love you too Blaine," I replied kissing him again.
Yeah, an American Soldier,
Beside my Brothers and my Sisters I will proudly take a stand,
When liberty's in jeopardy I'll always do what's right,
I'm out here on the front lines, so sleep in peace tonight.
